Binsey, Oxfordshire


BINSEY, a parish within the liberty of the city of OXFORD, locally in the hundred of Wootton, county of OXFORD, 2 miles (N.W.) from Oxford, containing 82 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford, endowed with £600 private benefaction, and £600 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Dean and Canons of Christ Church, Oxford. The church, dedicated to St. Margaret, is an ancient structure.
