Chislehampton, Oxfordshire

CHISELHAMPTON, a parish in the hundred of DORCHESTER, county of OXFORD, 7 miles (S.E.) from Oxford, containing 118 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, consolidated with that of Stadhampton, claimed to be in the jurisdiction of the peculiar court of Dorchester, endowed with £16 per annum private benefaction, £800 royal bounty, and £400 parliamentary grant. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The river Thame runs through this parish.
